Yes, folks, we\u2019ve had a new batch of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brusselstimes.com\/1042600\/switzerland-triumphs-at-eurovision-2024\"><strong>Eurovisi\u00f3n<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>songs every year from 2020 to 2024. Plus, we\u2019ve had an actual proper contest, following a short pause in 2020 due to COVID-19, from 2021 to today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here are the 10 songs that I\u2019ve loved the most from 2020 to 2024. Yes, stay mad if you don\u2019t feel that the suspended contest songs should be included in these lists. This is my blog, and I\u2019ll do things my way. Besides, those songs are also worthy of love as well, they\u2019re special, and they are part of the history of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ebu.ch\/news\/2024\/05\/eurovision-song-contest-2024-breaks-new-records-as-hundreds-of-millions-watch-and-listen-on-tv-and-digital-platforms\"><strong>Eurovision Song Contest<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And remember, you can catch my more extensive and news-worthy Eurovision content over at <a href=\"https:\/\/eurovisionfam.com\/\"><strong>Eurovision Fam<\/strong><\/a>! Here are my 10 picks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>10. Serbia 2021: \u201cLoco Loco\u201d &#8211; Hurricane<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sanja, Ksenia, and Ivana<\/strong> gave us looks, voices, sass, and a party with their party banger \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/intl-es\/track\/3XsC53nR7WLjc3b1CAgXhB?si=41faf09ca6af4522\"><strong>Loco Loco<\/strong><\/a>\u201d in the 2021 contest. The original Hurricane line-up (Eurovision 2021 was part of their send-off) provided Balkan turbo-folk that many of us had been craving for years for Serbia to take to ESC and they didn\u2019t disappoint this time around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Hurricane - Loco Loco - LIVE - Serbia \ud83c\uddf7\ud83c\uddf8 - Grand Final - Eurovision 2021\" width=\"920\" height=\"518\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Q1lkpIqf7a4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>9. Lithuania 2023: \u201cStay (\u010ci\u016bto T\u016bto)\u201d &#8211; Monika Linkyt\u0117<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The hook: <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/intl-es\/track\/4yOIHfzshv3Mr1nuq7ZPSw?si=32ce8629a3e148b9\"><strong>\u010ci\u016bto T\u016bto<\/strong><\/a>, as per my conversation with Monika at the <strong>Eurovision-Spain Madrid<\/strong> pre-party in 2023, is a Lithuanian folk phrase that she was able to connect it to the message of the song. It\u2019s a break-up song, but the way Monika sings and sells it, maes you love it a lot. Spain 2024: \u201cZorra\u201d &#8211; Nebulossa<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reinvindicative, powerful, funny, and sassy, are good adjectives to describe \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/intl-es\/track\/4ypCNolz6aRYZPO3UOGp8Z?si=76d010f3426d4857\"><strong>Zorra<\/strong><\/a>\u201d. Nebulossa came into our lives and gave us an anthem and party banger for the girls, the gays, the lesbians, and theys. We\u2019re all a bunch of <em>zorras de postal<\/em>, and that\u2019s on that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Nebulossa - ZORRA (LIVE) | Spain \ud83c\uddea\ud83c\uddf8 | Grand Final | Eurovision 2024\" width=\"920\" height=\"518\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/FOMoQoHG5aU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>7. Bulgaria 2021: \u201cGrowing Up is Getting Old\u201d &#8211; Victoria<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/intl-es\/track\/6R6i1KOZjiPYLZ8dC0cUgd?si=f4b762e90f97466a\"><strong>Growing Up is Getting Old<\/strong><\/a>\u201d by Victoria was the last high-quality entry that Bulgaria delivered to ESC and, due to personal reasons, this song strikes a chord and hits home &#8211; A LOT. It is a beautiful ballad that she dedicated to her ailing father with ALS and who sadly passed away months later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"VICTORIA - Growing Up Is Getting Old - LIVE - Bulgaria \ud83c\udde7\ud83c\uddec - Grand Final - Eurovision 2021\" width=\"920\" height=\"518\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/B1ZiPrMwMYA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>6. Finland 2023: \u201cCha Cha Cha\u201d &#8211; K\u00e4\u00e4rij\u00e4<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A party banger for the ages, and fully in Finnish, K\u00e4\u00e4rij\u00e4 was the party king we never knew we needed. \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/intl-es\/track\/5RX8T3EoTuXcybAxe6oPAw?si=57500dad577c4e56\"><strong>Cha Cha Cha<\/strong><\/a>\u201d had a very colorful performance on top of the Liverpool 2023 stage and people were so into it that it smashed that year\u2019s televote. Forever a fan of this!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"K\u00e4\u00e4rij\u00e4 - Cha Cha Cha (LIVE) | Finland \ud83c\uddeb\ud83c\uddee | Grand Final | Eurovision 2023\" width=\"920\" height=\"518\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/l6rS8Dv5g-8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>5. Sweden 2020: \u201cMove\u201d &#8211; The Mamas<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If joy and good vibes were a song, this would be it. One of the most authentic Swedish ESC entires since 2010, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/intl-es\/track\/19LiotxKSVs7FeVMEdHz63?si=a70f7d545f5c4630\"><strong>Move<\/strong><\/a>\u201d gave us everything we needed and more. Sadly, the ladies couldn\u2019t compete at Eurovision proper, as the 2020 edition was cancelled due to the onset of COVID that year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"The Mamas - Move - Sweden \ud83c\uddf8\ud83c\uddea - Official Video - Eurovision 2020\" width=\"920\" height=\"518\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7EpSBDPlZn4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4. Ukraine 2024: \u201cTeresa &amp; Maria\u201d &#8211; Jerry Heil &amp; alyona alyona<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jerry Heil and alyona alyona, two of Ukraine\u2019s biggest stars joined forces to deliver an anthem to feminity, resilience, and the power that women have. \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/intl-es\/track\/7n3Czk07KugPQOWuqCHDmF?si=684ca7909bc44dbd\"><strong>Teresa &amp; Maria<\/strong><\/a>\u201d was masterfully staged for Eurovision in Malm\u00f6, Sweden this past May, and honestly it deserved all the love it got from juries and viewers voting around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"alyona alyona &amp; Jerry Heil - Teresa &amp; Maria (LIVE) | Ukraine \ud83c\uddfa\ud83c\udde6 | Grand Final | Eurovision 2024\" width=\"920\" height=\"518\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/d4N82wPpdg8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. Netherlands 2024: \u201cEuropapa\u201d &#8211; Joost Klein<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scandal aside, the Dutch really came through with an iconic package deal that I really feel devastated that things ended up being the way they did (Although, by the time I post this, he\u2019s been cleared of further legal prosecution). \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/intl-es\/track\/0uHrMbMv3c78398pIANDqR?si=71a84004ccc34abf\"><strong>Europapa<\/strong><\/a>\u201d was a satirical eurodance song, that also was a tribute that Joost did to his parents, as he became an orphan as a teenager. My man was robbed of his big primetime moment during the 2024 final, but damn, this is a BANGER!!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Joost Klein - Europapa (LIVE) | Netherlands \ud83c\uddf3\ud83c\uddf1 | Second Semi-Final | Eurovision 2024\" width=\"920\" height=\"518\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/IiHFnmI8pxg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. Sweden 2022: \u201cHold Me Closer\u201d &#8211; Cornelia Jakobs<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ultimate break-up song. Sweden chose a very authentic pop ballad for the 2022 contest and sincerely\u2026 it still tears me up! Cornelia gave her everything at both the Melodifestivalen and Eurovision stages with \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/intl-es\/track\/697bFWgzBRm6bmnYWd8GyD?si=a9fa6d5f8b504d10\"><strong>Hold Me Closer<\/strong><\/a>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Cornelia Jakobs - Hold Me Closer - LIVE - Sweden \ud83c\uddf8\ud83c\uddea - Grand Final - Eurovision 2022\" width=\"920\" height=\"518\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/i777psA2gP4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Spain 2022: \u201cSloMo\u201d &#8211; Chanel<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La reina, la diva, la potra, <strong>Chanel <\/strong>came in and took <strong>Eurovisi\u00f3n <\/strong>2022 by storm. This song and that live performance, not only make me happy but also give me chills of how much perfection was achieved with it. \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/intl-es\/track\/00rUx6vPpy0XbJer8BcoRn?si=922ca80453654098\"><strong>SloMo<\/strong><\/a>\u201d might be basic as hell, lyrically, but damn\u2026 this should have won Eurovision. That\u2019s it.
